Our Story

Bainbridge Distillers was founded in 2009 by Keith Barnes as an independent family-owned and operated distillery. We are the second oldest distillery in Washington state.

For the past 15 years, we've been dedicated to creating world-class USDA Certified Organic spirits. We've distilled every drop of whiskey, vodka and gin we've ever bottled. We only work with heritage-class organic grains, and the production methods we use at our Bainbridge Island still house are hyper-traditional. We live by the mantra, “If we can’t do it the right way, we don’t do it.”

Keith Barnes, our Master Distiller, has worked for over 30 years in Beverage Alcohol marketing and advertising. He started distilling whiskey in his garage to determine if high quality organic whiskey could be made successfully. After accomplishing this goal, he was approved for a TTB license and opened Bainbridge Distillers.
